Friends of Amani - US

Friends of Amani – US was formed in 2006 for the purpose of building an awareness and actively raising funds to promote the health, welfare, and education of children and their families in Tanzania, Africa. As such, we participate as a member of a growing global community, brought together in order to support the Amani Children's Home in Tanzania.

Our Values and Goals

Assist the Amani Children’s Home: We value the work, honesty and integrity, both past and present, of the Administrators and Staff members, and Trustees of the Amani Children’s Home. Our first priority is to assist Amani to grow its donor base in the United States so that the Amani organization will become financially secure.

Demonstrate Financial Accountability: Our Bylaws require us to utilize financial controls to assure to our donors that the highest percentage of all contributions will go in direct support of the Amani Children’s Home programs and operations.

Build Relationships: We strive to connect American supporters with the Amani Children’s Home children and staff by providing information, fund raising activities, and an organizational structure. We look to continue developing a community made of those who live at the Home, work there, and support it from the United States.
